I picked this book to read because it will be the first I have read by this author, so I thought it would give me a good feel for her writing style, etc.. Short fiction can be quite challenging to write, telling a whole story in just 40 pages and doing it well IMHO shows a writer's ability. That said I was wonderfully surprised by this story. I loved the format of the six dives, with flashbacks following each dive as the story of Aiden & Tyler progresses to the end. I thought the characters were amazingly well-developed considering the length of the piece and the author had me rooting for them not just to win a medal but also to win at love!
